On Saturday 13 June, the Society’s annual outing brought a full coach to South Armagh. Well-known guide Úna Walsh showcased the outstanding beauty of the area and provided a superb commentary at locations such as Bessbrook village, Derrymore House, Ballykeel dolmen and Creggan church. Thirty-seven members enjoyed a fascinating day out and were enthralled by Úna’s passion for the history and folklore of the area. A delicious lunch was enjoyed in 'Fayre and Square' restaurant in Crossmaglen, and even the weather was kind to us.
