Our most recent talk was another excellent presentation. Shirley Lennon's historical and community work in Downpatrick is widely known and she shared her experience of this Holocaust Memorial project - Eighty Candles for Eighty Years - with a large crowd on Thursday 26 February. The poignant story of the Millisle Farm refugees during the Second World War was most interesting and thought-provoking. One of the pictures shows the candleholder produced by local women.
